Nor'easter of 2011 Ruined Halloween Up and Down the East Coast
An early-season nor'easter sent the flakes flying in 2011, burying pumpkins and forcing trick-or-treaters inside. While the snow started falling a few days before Halloween, it stuck around well into the start of November. The storm came just two months after the region saw a direct strike from Hurricane Irene. This put the area in a more vulnerable position, as the snow and wintry impacts triggered widespread power outages.
