Decline in Snow Activity Reported Around the World
According to the report by Copernicus, the middle latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere are experiencing the most significant decline in snow activity. This encompasses the areas to the north of the tropics and to the south of the Arctic, including some of the world's most popular ski resorts.
This data was exemplified last season when resorts in the U.S., Switzerland, Spain, and Austria were forced to close early because of unseasonably warm temperatures.
