Search and rescue crews were in a race against the clock on Tuesday working to find victims who were tossed into Baltimore's Patapsco River after a bridge collapse. How is the weather factoring into the response to the disaster? Read on for all of the details.

About the Baltimore Bridge Collapse

As of late Tuesday, six people remain missing and are presumed dead after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The 1.6-mile four-land bridge fell into the river after it was hit by a barge at about 1:30 am Tuesday. Two survivors were immediately pulled from the water, however, the search for more people continues.

Video images show the moment that the ship rammed into the bridge, striking a support beam and creating the collapse. The ship was identified as a Singaporean-flagged container vessel named DALI. The DALI is 984 feet long, translating to the length of about three football fields.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the ship reportedly lost its propulsion and dropped its anchor in an effort to maintain control.
