It is going to feel downright balmy in some areas of the south-central U.S. this week as the springlike warmth continues to build over the region.

Here is a look at how high you can expect the temperatures to climb, who will get in on this unseasonable warmth, and a sneak peek into weather this weekend.

Bulge in Jet Stream Will Usher Up Warmer Weather

A significant northward bulge in the jet stream by the middle of the week is forecast to bring up warmer weather from an area stretching from Texas and up into the central Plains.

The mercury is forecast to climb about 30 to 40 degrees when compared to the chilly readings from the beginning of the weekend. In addition to Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas can all look forward to this dramatic change in the weather.
