Do not let the nice weather enveloping the region from the Great Lakes to the Northeast this weekend fool you. A homebrew Atlantic storm is inching closer to the Northeast coastal region, threatening to usher in a messy start to the new work week. Here is what you can expect as conditions begin to deteriorate heading into Monday.

Homebrew Storm System Coming Together in the Atlantic This Weekend

It has been a pleasant weekend for most of the Northeast. Dry conditions, low humidity levels, and moderate temperatures by late July standards have translated to ideal weather to be outside for summer fun. However, forecasters are warning that it is all about to change in the coming hours as a homebrew storm system comes together in the Atlantic Ocean.

This is the time of the year when it is not unusual for tropical weather to spring to life on its own accord off of the East Coast. While this system is not expected to take on formal tropical characteristics, it will still pack a punch as it moves into the coastal areas of the Northeast early in the week.

The system is coming together thanks to an area of low pressure that is forming between the coastline of the U.S. and Bermuda. These homebrew systems are distinguished by their ability to form near land, with or without defined tropical impacts.

As the storm picks up steam, it will suck in more clouds, rain showers, and winds. The extent to how much organization this system develops will determine how severe the impacts will become as it moves into the U.S.
