On the morning of March 29, a partial eclipse is slated to appear over areas of North America, Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

The March 29, 2025, solar eclipse will be visible in the early morning across North America, Canada, Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia. The event begins at 8:50 a.m. UTC and will last for several hours.

The maximum eclipse will occur between 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. UTC, depending on your location. By 12:43 p.m. UTC, the eclipse will come to an end.

What makes this eclipse special is that it will already be happening when the sun rises in many places. In some locations, the sun will appear as a crescent shape as it comes up over the horizon. In certain parts of Canada and the U.S., a rare "double sunrise" effect will make it look like the sun is rising in two separate pieces!

What Makes This Eclipse Unique?
