While winter months tend to pass drier for Florida, an occasional non-tropical system can bring prolific rainfall and gusty storms this time of year. The upcoming weekend weather forecast has the potential to do just that.
Pleasant Start to the Weekend Won't Last Long
Pleasant weather should unfold Friday through Saturday evening as high pressure drifts overhead, promoting dry conditions near seasonal temperatures.
But the same storm plaguing Texas and the Southern Plains with flooding downpours and damaging winds this weekend will eventually emerge into the Southeast on Sunday.
