It was a deadly week of weather across the U.S., starting with a weekend flooding event across Kentucky and beyond and continuing with a major snowstorm that also turned fatal. Here is a look back at this week of weather.

Four Deaths Blamed on Winter Storm

At least four people died after a winter weather maker roared across the central and eastern U.S. during the middle of the week. Over a dozen states were dumped on by Mother Nature during the storm that lasted a few days as it pushed from the Plains and over to the Atlantic coastline.

The four confirmed fatalities were blamed on vehicular accidents. One person died in a 53-vehicle pileup in North Carolina while another person died in an accident in Tennessee. Two people, including a state trooper, died on the roads in Nebraska earlier in the week.
