New Potential Tropical Development Off the Coast of Florida

The ocean waters off of the eastern coast of Florida are starting to show signs of tropical weather. Even if this potential system does not intensify into a tropical rainstorm or beyond, the eastern edge of Florida and the southeastern U.S. will see an influx of moisture that pairs with potentially dangerous beach conditions.

The area of concern is due to a narrow zone of low pressure that is moving at a fast clip to the west from the Caribbean. The northeastern corner of Florida is likely to see the greatest impacts of this system, however, the effects may be felt as far north as Georgia. Residents in this zone are forecast to begin to feel the impacts beginning Tuesday and lasting through Thursday.
