Storms Back in the Forecast for Southern Plains, Lower Mississippi Valley, and Southeast

It has been a nice break while it lasted. Following a short reprieve from the severe weather, storms are back in the forecast for the southern Plains states and into parts of the Mississippi Valley for Thursday.

Some of these storm cells could creep into the Southeast as well. Here is a more detailed look at the timing and intensity of these storms.

Severe Weather Threats Shift to the Southern Plains States on Thursday

While it was the central Plains that took it on the chin on Wednesday, the southern Plains will see the greatest severe weather impacts on Thursday.

This weather maker will come about as a storm system pulls away from the Rocky Mountains and tracks into the Plains and the Mississippi Valley.
