Storm-Ravaged West in Line for More Volatile Weather
Alexis Thornton
4 hours agoAnother round of rain is bearing down on the western U.S., potentially complicating early Thanksgiving travel for this part of the country. It has been a busy week of weather for the West Coast with a pair of bomb cyclones and a duo of atmospheric rivers both taking aim at the storm-weary region. Here is what the West should expect in the days ahead.
West Coast Prepares for More Disruptive Weather
Prior to this weekend, the disruptive weather on the West Coast remained focused on the Pacific Northwest and down into Northern California. That will change heading into the new week as the line of moisture dips down as far as Los Angeles.
The active storm track will usher in more heavy rain, high winds, and snow for the higher terrains. As of late Saturday, there were about 90,000 customers still without power in Washington. The Evergreen State saw about 600,000 customers in the dark during the peak of the outages after Tuesday's bomb cyclone event.
