At least seven fatalities have been confirmed as a result of Wednesday's severe weather outbreak across the central portions of the U.S. Unfortunately, more stormy conditions are on tap for this part of the country and to the east through the weekend. Here is a look at what to expect in the days ahead.

More Severe Weather Bearing Down on Central and Eastern U.S.

Meteorologists are warning residents of the central and eastern U.S. to not let their guard down as more storms are on the way. The continual wave of moisture and storms will present a number of dangers to lives and property. In addition to the possibility of more tornadic activities, the immense precipitation associated with these storms will also raise the threat of flash flooding for the water-logged region.

The highly active weather pattern has ushered in daily storms and tornadoes throughout the week. The next few days will see the greatest concentration of storms across the zone from Texas and Louisiana and up to the northwest through Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Some of the same communities that were impacted by Wednesday's severe weather outbreak will be under the gun once again on Friday, thwarting cleanup efforts across the battered region. The supercharged storm cells will bring the chance of large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall, and isolated tornadoes.

Friday's risks will persist into the overnight hours, compounding the danger as storms form under the cover of darkness. Those in the path of these storms will want to enable all severe weather notifications before going to bed.
