How Weather Is Impacted by Climate Change
Alexis Thornton
Last yearClimate change has changed the weather in noticeable ways. Consider these examples of how climate change has altered weather patterns. While you can argue why the climate is changing, the evidence is clear that the weather is changing.
Increased Temperatures
Globally, the temperature has climbed an average of 0.14 degrees Fahrenheit since 1880, but temperatures have risen at twice that rate since 1981. Models show that if the current rate of increase continues until the end of the century, temperatures will be 10.2 degrees warmer on average.
If people can reverse the effects of climate change, temperatures will still end up 2.4 degrees higher at the end of the century.
