2 days agoThe first week of March has turned deadly throughout the U.S. at the hands of Mother Nature. Here is a look at some of the most unsettling weather events of the week thus far.
Severe Weather Across the Southern Plains Leave 3 Dead
A severe weather outbreak across the southern Plains earlier in the week left at least three people dead. The line of severe storms ignited late Monday, persisting through Tuesday across Texas, Oklahoma, and over to the Gulf Coast. The storm cells produced at least 22 tornados. Seven of these twisters came to life in Oklahoma, six were confirmed in Louisiana, and five were born in Texas.
A tornado in Irving, Texas, struck an apartment complex that resulted in a partial collapse of the building. Fortunately, nobody was injured in this collapse triggered by the preliminary EF0 or EF1 tornado.
