The first week of March has turned deadly throughout the U.S. at the hands of Mother Nature. Here is a look at some of the most unsettling weather events of the week thus far.

Severe Weather Across the Southern Plains Leave 3 Dead

A severe weather outbreak across the southern Plains earlier in the week left at least three people dead. The line of severe storms ignited late Monday, persisting through Tuesday across Texas, Oklahoma, and over to the Gulf Coast. The storm cells produced at least 22 tornados. Seven of these twisters came to life in Oklahoma, six were confirmed in Louisiana, and five were born in Texas.

A powerful storm system unleashed 22 tornadoes across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, causing destruction and loss of life. In Irving, Texas, a tornado damaged an apartment complex, leading to a partial collapse but no reported injuries. | Adobe Stock
