Unprecedented destruction continues to scorch Southern California as 2025 January wildfires turn neighborhoods into apocalyptic landscapes. The Palisades Fire, which has burned through seaside areas between Malibu and Santa Monica, has emerged as the most destructive fire in the history of Los Angeles County.

Current Situation

With several wildfires burning across Los Angeles County, nearly 180,000 residents have been placed under evacuation orders. Authorities said at least five people died but were still trying to determine how many fatalities and missing persons resulted. The Palisades Fire kept growing and reports suggested several thousand structures may be either damaged or destroyed.
