Blue Origin’s Next Launch Includes Katy Perry and Gayle King

Announced on February 27, Blue Origin announced the first all-women mission to space since 1963. Pop-singer Katy Perry and TV personality Gayle King will headline this 11-minute mission to beyond Earth’s atmosphere and into space. They will be led by Lauren Sánchez, partner of Blue Origin’s founder Jeff Bezos, who boarded the first Blue Origin mission of the same nature. 

Additionally onboard this flight are Kerianne Flynn, film producer for independent films, Aisha Bowe, aerospace engineer and founder/CEO of STEMBoard, and Amanda Nguyen, founder of Rise and civil rights activist.

New Shepard Rocket

Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket, a fully reusable system, launches tourists and cargo on sub-orbital flights. Named after astronaut Alan Shepard, it consists of a rocket and a six-passenger capsule, making space tourism a reality. | Adobe Stock
